We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Traditional Chinese hotel, clean and modern. Fantastic water garden to sit and relax in or drink afternoon tea.
Not close to attractions but has two underground stations within waking distance and Didi cars are inexpensive in China.
Very friendly and helpful staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
We would choose this hotel again.

The name and pictures are deceptive, indeed is located in the grounds of the prince’s mansion, but the hotel itself has little to offer.
Its a fancy hotel from the 80s it could do with an remodeling of the rooms. Its like an old house so people running upstairs will resonate strongly in your room. Some rooms has strong odor and some not view.
It is very quiet and the garden and surroundings are very beautiful and worth visiting.
Staff is friendly and accommodating.

The room is small and furniture are old, there are some uncomfortable smell when open the room door upon check in.
Like the hotel out door scenery very much, location wise is very far from the city and there is no shop or eatery walking distance to

We stayed here a few days and it was fantastic. Like living in a historic palace, because it is. The traditional and historic architecture is just like the summer palace.

I love this hotel, it’s beautiful with big rooms and a great breakfast. It’s is so pretty and the grounds are gorgeous. It would be a definite 5 stars if they fix one thing. They tell you when you check in that there can be a mosquito issue because it is in the park and there is a lot of vegetation. So, they give you this little mosquito repellant thing, which is nice but the best thing would be to not have mosquitos. In the room, we started looking and there are occasional squished mosquitos on the walls and ceilings and we killed 2 mosquitos while we were there. I don’t think we got bit by them though so it’s not as ifs an infestation. It really is just an occasional mosquito. But, the doors are often open even though the building is cool. The windows are constantly open too. When we come back to our room, the windows are ajar and while cleaning, they keep the room doors open to the hallway where the windows are open. Just closing the windows and doors and relying on the air conditioning would probably solve the problem and this would be a fantastic, amazing hotel. If the hotel responds to this with a mosquito plan, then I would absolutely stay there again and recommend everybody else do too. This is definitely a 5 star hotel with a solvable problem.

We booked this hotel because of the palace architecture and also the reviews, but the location is really abit far from the main attraction. We have to use Didi all the time. The backyard of the hotel is nice. The 1st room we stayed at the 1st night was uncleaned, after we reflected to the front desk, they immediately changed another room for us.

因为台风滞留在北京，临时订了这个酒店，连住两晚，这个酒店地理位置很好，正好在朝阳公园里面，挨在郡王府边上，不用大费周折跑去景区就能参观曾经王室的亭台别院，紧邻东四环，从机场打车过去一小时不到就可以到。房间里卫生、陈设都较新，酒店安全也做得到位，刷房卡才能进入，装饰是中式风，简洁大气，除了早餐没有有些遗憾外，其他都比较满意。下次再去北京应该会作为首选。
